I was getting buzzing from the buttons of my D'Addario micro tuner, so I took it off and noticed something that Yuri had mentioned: my guitar got more resonant. It had been damping my sound!
I warmed up on Villa Lobos Etude #1 this morning and was pleased to see how smoothly it went at 75 bpm.
In VL Etude #2 I spent a bunch of time at 52 bpm. That's a good tempo for me to try to smooth out the whole piece, and takes off the pressure of doing the scale run faster.
